We were quite nervous about making the crossing from Colombia to Ecuador via the Rumichaca bridge land crossing. Some of the stories we had heard from other travellers made it sound like a real ordeal and very stressful.

One thing I need to learn is to be flexible with planning. I agree that taking pictures of yourselves is so important. I love your idea of a journal! My husband and I were just trying to remember something from a trip. If I had a journal, it would have been much easier ?
