Phaselis | 3 amazing things Andiamo Amigos did there
Phaselis is about 16km down the coast from the resort of Kemer and its the most delightful area of archeological ruins with quirky little bays and the clearest water you can imagine
We had heard about the cable car that went to the top of Mount Olympus and wanted to have a go. Its not actually Mount Olympus but Mount Tahtali but hey I’m with the locals on this one and they can call it what they want. You really do get the best views of Kemer and the coastline from here.
We booked the trip from the Sea to Sky kiosk in the centre of Kemer next to the Marina. There were different options of trip from half day/full day and a night time trip. Their shuttle bus picked us up direct from our hotel at 9.30 in the morning which was perfect.
The views opening up behind us of the coastline as the cable car rose to the top of the mountain.
There wasn’t that much to do at the top but it was still worth it.
– Get something to eat (standard basic food)
– Buy a fridge magnet from the gift shop (typical tourist gifts)
– Take the stairs or lift up the 3 flights to the roof of the main station where the views even more spectacular
– Get your photograph taken by one of the many photographers floating around
– Wander around the top (not very far as its fenced off)
– Enjoy an ice-cream outdoors
– Watch the paragliders take off from the summit and glide to the shore below.
If we came back we would definitely walk up to the top. It looks like a fantastic walk. Then get the cable car back down or even paraglide back down that would make it a proper adventure.
We have always tended to use Booking.com having said that if your on a tight budget another good site to try as a comparison is Hostelworld, If your looking to compare different sites you can do that on Hotellook, we tend to look on here first to make sure we are getting the best deal.
You can book your visits as you go at the entrance to your chosen attraction or site. Or you could use the following links to book in advance or just to find out what your choices are in the area. GetYourGuide and Tiqets are our go to choices you could try Viator to see how they compare.

Our summer 2020 holiday we found ourselves exploring Kemer, Turkey as travelling options were limited. It was was my first visit to Turkey as Chris has been to before but not to this area. I’d only ever transited through Istanbul airport so that doesn’t count.
Goynuk Canyon is a mountain area approx 10km north of Kemer. Exploring Goynuk canyon is mainly done on foot but we’ll tell you about how we did the canyoning activity and got into the water. Excellent fun!

I love cable cars, wherever they are! You can catch the best views and just enjoy the moment.
But have you done paragliding? If not, then why?
